Well Being & Mental Health

Mental health and well-being are essential for leading a fulfilling and balanced life. Fr. McGrath Centre recognises the importance of supporting mental health for individuals of all ages.

We provide low cost or no cost one to one counselling, peer led supports for people in D&A recovery or access to our range of social or special issue support groups.

Counselling

Feeling stressed, anxious or low? We offer a professional and affordable counselling service. Our counselling team comprises of student, pre-accredited and accredited therapists. If you feel you need to talk to our counsellors please contact us here.

Better Together

Better Together is a peer-led recovery community providing daily online support for those facing mental health or substance use challenges. This is a confidential and non-judgmental community, where all are welcome regardless of where they are on their journey. We provide instant access to self-determined recovery options, including group and individual peer support, as well as social events, and wellness weekends. You can join by filling in a members application form through the website.

Amárach Nua

Amárach Nua – Special Community Employment Scheme was established to provide people, who are in recovery from substance misuse, with a supported environment offering training and education, building on their personal development and self-reliance through employment. This response was designed to be part of an interagency focus on prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, training and education for the individuals concerned so that they could be enabled to have independent, socially and economically sustaining lives.
