We have a vast range of services and programmes to meet the needs of individuals, families and the wider community. These include parenting courses, specialised family programmes, counselling services, children’s contact visit’s, individual and family meetings and supports, advocacy and liaison with other services. We also provide wider supports such as adult education, social groups and outlets and information supports.

 

Counselling

Affordable counselling service is now available at the Fr. McGrath Centre. If you feel you need to talk to our counsellors please call Wendy Taylor for appointment on 056 7751988 ext.7 or email wendy.taylor@frmcgrathcentre.ie

Currently we are also looking for counsellors to provide counselling services with our organisation. If you have an interest in providing such service please fill in Expression of Interest Form.

 

Parents Plus Courses

Parents Plus is an evidenced based parenting programme which believes in empowering families we work with. Programmes are focused on encouraging children and parents to achieve their potential and build new skills. For more information see www.parentsplus.ie

Programmes include:-

  • Early years for parents of children aged 1 to 6 years
  • Children’s Programme for parents of children aged 6 to 11 years
  • The adolescents Programme for parents of adolescents aged 11 – 16 years
  • Working Things Out Programme for adolescents aged 11 – 16 years
  • Parenting When Separated (all ages)

Family Supports and Programmes

We offer a range of family supports, from individual family meeting and programmes to evidence based programmes such as ‘Strengthening families’ programme.

Parenting Supports are offered individually or through parenting programmes.

We can arrange contact visits for separated parents in our comfortable family room.

Activities can vary from month to month. Participation in all above activities is FREE, we also provide all materials. Donations of materials, however, are welcome. We also ask participants to get involved in organising fundraising events once or twice a year.
