Life Skills Programe from AWARE starting in September

Tue, August 12, 2014

Life Skills is a group of programmes from Aware that are based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT is a therapy that focuses on thinking and behaviour and has been shown to be an effective treatment for mild to moderate depression, stress and/or anxiety.

Life Skills Programmes will be delivered in Kilkenny in September over 6 weeks. Venue: Hotel Kilkenny. Dates: 17th, 24th September, 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd October. Sessions start at 7.30pm and last 90 min. each. Participation is FREE of CHARGE.

The groups consist of around 25 people so you would need to be comfortable in a group setting. You must be able to commit to attend all 6 sessions.

Below some testimonials and feedback from previous programme:

“Helped me to see the warning signs with my anxiety and how to change these through my thoughts.”

“Increased my awareness of negative thinking patterns and how to overcome them.”

“Enormous impact. I have suffered depression most of this year but now recovering due to a lot of different help but this would be one of the main ones.”
